Rooted in our Catholic faith, the Golden Gears foster innovation, collaboration, and a passion for STEM. Through teamwork, leadership, and gracious professionalism, we equip students to use their God-given talents to make a meaningful impact on their community and the world.
Our Vision
We are building a collaborative team where students grow strong technical and interpersonal skills and a passion for excellence — through competition, community outreach, and local partnerships that inspire the next generation of leaders.
Our Goals
The Golden Gears is an FRC team dedicated to excellence in all aspects of FIRST. Through that dedication we strive to win the FIRST Championship through both our robots and our impact.
Our Story
Our History
The Golden Gears (FRC Team 10021) was founded in 2024 by our head coach Mr. Cromer to establish a dedicated robotics program at Guerin Catholic. In our rookie season we operated out of a small storage space before transitioning into a fully equipped classroom and shop. Despite our modest beginnings, we earned the Rookie All-Star Award at the Indiana State Championship and secured an invitation to the FRC World Championship in Houston, Texas. Moving into a larger workspace marks an important milestone as we continue to expand our capabilities and pursue excellence in engineering, teamwork, and innovation.
