Our Goals
The Golden Gears is a FIRST Robotics Competition team dedicated to excellence in engineering, leadership, outreach, and personal development. Through a commitment to continuous improvement and the principles of FIRST, we strive to build world-class robots, create meaningful impact within our community, and ultimately compete at the highest level of the FIRST Championship.

Goals

Recruitment
We recruit each year through letters to incoming freshmen, middle-school visits, demonstrations, and our club fair — inspiring the next generation of innovators to join.
Integration
New members are paired with veterans, introduced to our values and processes, and given meaningful work from day one — building a unified, inclusive team.
Development
Our FTC program and workshops in CAD, programming, electrical, manufacturing, tool safety, business, and leadership grow students into capable engineers and leaders.
Succession
Veterans mentor underclassmen, document processes, and hand off leadership — so every generation leaves the team stronger than they found it.
